Selfie Attendance System by Field Team Tracking

A selfie attendance system replaces registers or fingerprint devices with photos taken on staff phones at punch time, managed centrally for the whole company. Field Team Tracking runs it across branches, each with its own location and timing rules.

  • Live selfie with a liveness check
  • Location and timing rules per branch
  • One report for every branch

What is a selfie attendance system?

It is an attendance method where staff mark in and out with a live photo on their phone, usually with a location check, and the company reads the records centrally.

With Field Team Tracking, the photo only has to show that someone real and present took it; nobody's face is compared with a saved picture.

  • No shared device to touch or queue at.
  • The blink and random-action check shows a live person is at the camera.
  • Rules differ by branch, not by person.

Selfie attendance system: rolling it out in four steps

A selfie attendance system succeeds or fails in its first month, so roll it out deliberately:

  1. Set branch rules. For each site, record where the office is, how wide its circle should be, the working timetable and lateness grace, and decide whether punches beyond the office count.
  2. Install on staff phones. Each employee installs the app on Android or iPhone; from then on, a punch goes through only after the person blinks and makes one randomly chosen move for the camera.
  3. Run a test week. Keep the old register beside the app, and enlarge the radius wherever genuine punches fail.
  4. Read the first report. Download present, late and absent totals per branch to Excel and compare them with the register before retiring it.

How the selfie step works, and how it compares with fingerprint machines, is on the selfie attendance app page; a phone-based system end to end is on the GPS attendance tracking system page.
